I am a freelance illustrator and graphic artist. I received my BA in Art from CSUN in 1979, with an emphasis in life drawing and graphic design. Now I mostly work digitally, but it is because of my traditional training, I know HOW to produce final art, and I know WHY art is to be prepared the manner that it is. Final art production is much more that a click of a button.
Though most my work is produced electronically on Mac, I still embrace the opportunity to illustrate, weilding the pen and brush. My drawing styles can vary, and include: cartooning and humorous, semi-realistic, graphic spots, icons, product rendering, diagrams and exploded views ...just about any style or technique that is called for.
I am an experienced designer and print production artist as well. I produce spot and full color pieces which include: CD's and package design, flyers, brochures and catalogs, logos, advertising and POP displays, and prototype designs. I can work solely on an entire graphics project, or I can work with direction and be a part of a team. I am willing and eager to learn more, and I look forward to new challenges that are presented to me.
Outside of the art biz I have been involved with acoustic music as a festival coordinator, an event volunteer, an attendee, and a closet musician. I am a collector of little push-puppets that folks have sent to me from around the world. I have two sibling kitties, Monroe and Mica. I moved to Tehachapi from Los Angeles in December of 2000. This is a crossroad mountain town located between Mojave and Bakersfield, on the western edge California's hi-desert, about 2 hours north of Los Angeles.
