A native of the Netherlands, the land of Rembrandt and van Gogh, Rogier van Bakel brings the famous Dutch eye for light, order, and composition to wedding photography.
His family portraits and wedding photos stand out for their rich photojournalistic feel that hints at his European sensibility; one reviewer called them “lush, straight-to-the-heart documentary images.” Van Bakel accepts limited engagements in Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, Bangor, Camden, Augusta, Portland, and other locations in Maine, but will travel out of state and internationally for the right clients.
