I was first introduced to the medium of three dimensional paper sculpture while earning a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and Design at Virginia Commonwealth University. My paper sculptures are created by cutting specific shapes out of white or colored paper and then scoring, curling, or folding the paper to create the desired three dimensional effect. The different paper elements are then arranged on a backing of illustration board or foam core,. I love creating illustrations for publications, children’s books, editorial, and advertising.
