In 1993, I graduated with honors from Pratt Institute with a BFA in illustration and continued my studies at DPSD&I, concentrating on reportage, with the renowned illustrator/educator David Passalacqua. For the past 7 years I have been creative director of an NYC communications firm.
I am a World Trade Center survivor from the 89th floor of WTC1. My experiences on 9/11 inspired my wife to purchase me a sketchbook, as a way to refocus my energy on my passion. From this was born The Bus Drawings project. Simply put, all of these drawings were produced while riding commuter busses. For the past 5 years I have been drawing on my way to and from work and simultaneously falling back in love with expression through illustration.
