erin mehlos abandoned her visual communications major halfway through when her financial situation suddenly required a dull 9 to 5 as a digital prepress operator. largely self-taught, she has since become a freelance illustrator and an independent comics creator, recently contributing the short work "squinker" to the Eisner-nominated 24 Hour Comics Highlights 2005 anthology. she presently lives in wisconsin with a fluctuous number of rats.
