Photography is a lifelong passion, started at age 12 with rudimentary film cameras. This was followed by a formal education in the art of capturing light and the laboratory techniques to bring subjects to life.
The digital era has given a whole new dimension to photographic creation. In the studio, the ability to instantly check on the characteristics of a picture makes complex lighting setups easier to manage. Natural light photography benefits from modern lens capabilities. But it is clear that none of these technologies change the need for good composition, a proper control of perspective, and the eye to catch the fleeting moments of expression that make memorable pictures.
