Within two years of graduating from Parsons School of Design, Richard
Turtletaub was producing award-winning layouts for Town & Country
magazine. In addition to 10 years in publication design, he has worked
as an art director in advertising where he has done work for clients
such as Levi’s and Miller beer. His broad range of design experience
has also included a call-for-entries poster for AIGA which was
reproduced in the book Graphic Wit.
The photo-collage style of this poster set the tone for Richard’s
entry into illustration. As an illustrator, he has over 12 years'
experience producing work with an abstract, conceptual and symbolic
twist for magazines, newspapers, annual reports, brochures, corporate
communications, as well as for posters and film. He has applied his
illustration to various areas including business, fashion, sports,
health, arts and current affairs.
Richard's recent projects have included motion graphics and animation,
adding the elements of time and movement to his illustration
style.
