I have been training myself in design for many years. I joined my High School newspaper as production manger (mostly ad design, page layout & photo editing) knowing literally nothing about design or Macs, and with no one to teach me I was forced to teach myself, stumbling all the way. Today, because of those hard lessons, I am a much stronger person and a much stronger designer.
I also thrive on pressure. I have often been called the “eye of the storm.” Often times on the school paper other students would not turn in their work. This affected the amount of time available to work on layout, but no matter what I would stay cool and keep it together and get my work done on time.
I have been designing posters and flyers freelance, for friends and relatives since around 1998. I have been employed at Triangle Printing Inc. in Indianapolis since June of 2000 designing countless items, from pamphlets, brochures, large quantities of business cards, folders, notepads, newsletters and even placemats for local
Indianapolis school districts.
I am well versed in all forms of print and print
software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,
Indesign, Quark Express and Microsoft Office.
