Adrian Oosterman has over 20 years of professional experience in a wide range of photography including advertising, corporate, editorial, communications and conceptual work. Light is the primary tool of the photographer and this, combined with a background in technical theatre and lighting design, make him a 'light wrangler" par excellence. Says one art director, " His brainstorming adds creative value to the job well before the shoot." Another creative likes his attitude, "With a calm, easy-going approach, he concentrates on possibilities and solutions."
Portraits are one of Adrian's specialties. His subjects include corporate ceo's, executives, personalities, celebrities and artists. Adrian's portraits focus on expression and character. He also aims his lens at locations, products and nature.
Adrian has a diploma in Applied Photography from Sheridan College (Oakville) and has also studied at St. Lawrence College (Kingston). Although all of his schooling was in film, most of Adrian's current projects are digital capture. This allows him to move quickly, responding to the moment and providing timely solutions to photographic challenges. One of Toronto's pioneers in digital capture, he has presented seminars in digital imaging for CAPIC, Kodak and Multimedia Trade shows. Adrian's skill and vision, on location or in the studio, combine to create shots that deliver the message.
