Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1965, my parents, two sisters and brother and I lived and grew up in the suburbs outside of Toronto and Montreal. I have loved to draw since the age of five but was not fortunate enough to realize drawing as a possible career path until much later in life. My life took me on travels across the southern United States from Florida through to California. I visited the beaches of Acupulco and Cancun Mexico, Antigua, and South Padre Island, Texas. Thus, my favourite spot is at the beach. A certified aesthetician and electrologist, I live a health conscious lifestyle and devote my time to raising my three small children. It was during this housebounding in the last five years that I rediscovered my passion for drawing and enrolled in the Art Instruction Schools art course. After completing this course I will join the likes of other Art Instruction Schools scholars like Charles Shultz. Home is definitely where my heart is as I only venture out for entertainment about three times a year. My ultimate dream is to live on a ranch/farm with lots of open space for creativity and roaming space for the kids. A nearby beach and one of those new Ford Mustangs would complete the dream. Listening to country music is another passion of mine and other spare time that I have I like to write. My father, Ron Bush, paints with oil and watercolour, and his great aunt , Edna Currie, was a watercolour artist. It is already quite evident that my young son Dereck has inherited a host of artistic abilities. My father is presently researching our family tree from which I just recently found out some of my ancestors were professional farmers of German descent. On my father's mother's mother's side are the Hemingways. We are claimed by my late grandmother to be related to the Ernest Hemingway. If my father can branch far enough back into our heritage he just may verify that claim. I love to work hard and pour all I have into everything I do.
