Biography
Maciej Zajac was born and raised in Poland where he completed his art education. He studied in College of Art and Cinematography School in Poland. During his professional carrier abroad he worked for one of the largest advertising companies and collaborated with many leading Polish artists like for example: Michal Wladyka, Pawel Tryzno, Tadeusz Piechura and Jan Zelinski. At that time he developed series of comic books and illustrated an educational book "Economy for Young Investors" written by the Polish Prime Minister Marek Belka. Maciej came to the United States in 2000 to be closer to his family and currently he is living and working in Washington DC. He specializes in history, comic books, humor, children, kids, animals and creatures book illustration. Although working a lot with publishers, his work also lends itself naturally to product and packaging. His brought portfolio also includes: caricatures, portraits, cartoons and fantasy drawings.Maciej's most recent work includes illustrations to "Hoonraki Moon" by Sheila Helliwell, "Bugaroos" by Garry De Armond, "Mysterious Box" by Andrea Chapman, "Rain Drops" by Ping Zang as well as character development for Rober Stanek Book "Ruin Mist: Elf Queen's Quest".
