I am a Japanese American artist from California with a BFA in Illustration. I also studied traditional/2D animation.
I paint in oil, watercolor and acrylic. I enjoy painting people of different cultures and costumes.
To satisfy both sides of my personality, I paint cute, cartoon-style or fashion illustrations as well as more serious, fine art subjects.
My art continues to evolve as I explore and experiment with different styles of painting and drawing. I believe an artist’s education never stops and I continue to study the works of other artists which influences my own art. As I get older, I have a new appreciation for works of the old masters as well as the new, up-and-coming artists of today.
