When I graduated college in 1997, I decided my mission would be to try different things, find what I was really good at and stick with it. By this point in my career, I have worked for a small manufacturer creating consumer advertising, direct mail, collateral, tradeshow signage and other materials for a line of nutritional supplements for 3.5 years. I've worked in publishing and did some illustrating for children's workbooks for 1 year. Then I stepped into 4.5 years of retail packaging for small appliances (haircare and wellness products for Remington) in a corporate in-house department and then finally made my way into an advertising agency. This is where my love of re-branding, consumer and b2b advertising, collateral and direct mail began and it's been 3 years now. I've enjoyed every journey and took each job as a learning experience. Throughout my career, I've worked directly with Presidents, Brand Managers, Creative Directors, Writers, Editors, Photographers, Illustrators, Animators, Producers and Print Vendors. The biggest compliment I usually get from people is that they say I know my stuff or that I "just get it." My Creative Director says I have all the skills and experience to be highly marketable, yet the difference is that I have talent... Not to mention, I can speak effectively to motivate others and get the cooperation I need to get the job done. I have a polite, professional attitude and a sense-of-humor to go along with it. The biggest reason why I think people like working with me is that I'm a hard worker who doesn't quit. I'm there to help whenever needed - even if bending over backwards is necessary. I was once the runner up to "global" employee of the third quarter when I worked at Remington - after only 1 year of working there! When it's time to do the work, I think like a Brand Manager. Then the next thing I do is design on paper before I go to the computer. It was the biggest lesson I learned in college that I've taken with me all these years, 12 to be exact. So if you're interested in how I might be able to increase your productivity, add to your list of creative abilities and achievements, attract new clients or bring agency experience to an in-house department, please feel free to call me. I look forward to discussing the opportunity to work with you!
