Laura Ancona is an artist, illustrator and graphic designer living in Nob Hill, having recently relocated from San Diego, where she was a regular participant in the local arts, including the La Jolla Art Association and San Diego Art Department. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art with an Emphasis in Graphic Design from San Diego State University.
Having from a very young age always felt a profound connection to her fellow human beings, her work naturally focuses on portraiture, figurative expression and the visual communication of raw human emotion. Her influences are Andy Warhol, Edgar Degas, Jason Bua and David Carson, to name a few.
Her work is available in various mediums, ranging from watercolor, acrylic and oil paint to charcoal and graphite, as well as digital illustration. She is currently available for fine art and illustration commissions.
