Biography
Don Guth is an alumnus of the School of Visual Arts in New York City and studied directly under such renowned Artists as Marshall Arisman and Burt Hasen. Guth then spent a year furthering his studies at the State University of New York - College at New Paltz. After returning to New York City, he began his career as an Illustrator, having his work featured regularly in several nationally syndicated magazines such as GIG MAGAZINE, PRO SOUND NEWS, TELEVISION BROADCAST MAGAZINE and VIDEOGRAPHY MAGAZINE, published by Miller Freeman PSN, Inc. from 1989 through 1995. From 1994 through 1995, he was Staff Illustrator and Cartoonist for News Communications, Inc., Long Island Community Newspaper Group. In 1995, he relocated to North Carolina and has done a variety of both printed public work and private commissions for a number of local businesses, authors and patrons. He is available for freelance illustration projects, drawing portraits or caricatures and painting murals.
