Christopher Rossiter - Director of Photography


Christopher Cheng Rossiter, cinematographer, recent cinematography credits including the high-budget docudrama AMERICAN GENERAL for Talon Films and PBS, his stylistic action short THE CHALLENGE featuring Linh-Dan Pham (Indochine) and recently his mood driven short film drama NOWHERE featuring Hong Kong star Teresa Cheung. The last two credits he also directed. As a graduate of AFI Conservatory Christopher has earned a Masters of Fine Arts degree while fine tuning his abilities as a cinematographer and storyteller.

In 2007 Christopher is due to launch his production entity SOFI Films (Story Oriented Films Incorporated) and SOFI Spots. SOFI will focus on his passion for strong narrative driven films and commercial spots.

During the span of Christopher’s career he has worked as a production manager, gaffer and still photographer. The skills he developed working as a gaffer, with hundreds of lighting credits to his name, and still photographer proved beneficial to becoming the cinematographer that he is today.

Christopher lectures on cinematography most recently at National University’s graduate program. He has a strong passion in promoting the art. Recently Christopher became a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
