Yelena Yahontova was born in Minsk, Belarus in 1972. She expresses her interest in spirituality in her photos by making photos that are about pure joy.
She began photography when she was seventeen but didn't decide to study photography seriously until a few years ago. She has a masters degree in humanities from the Belarussian State University in Minsk, Belarus and she currently resides in Bloomington, Indiana.
She is the clothing stylist, hair stylist and makeup artist for her photo productions.
