Nature holds a special fascination for me. I try to portray it as I see it: sometimes serene, often dignified, and always incomparable. My work is a very personal view of the nuances of the environment: its colours, forms, textures and light, as they blend and contrast, conflict and harmonise; as they create a mood, evoke a feeling, satisfy a need. It is my way of preserving what now is and will surely never be again.
I have photographed for several years in over 25 countries. My pictures have been displayed in more than 40 exhibitions, printed in several publications, and presented as compact travelogues. I have also published three books of poetry, the latest illustrated with my own images. And, as time passed, I deserted my first love, watercolour painting. I continue to design and edit newsletters that have won awards.
