A native of Asheville, North Carolina, I began drawing at the age of five. Illustration has been a passion of mine ever since.

I attended Western Carolina University. Under the tutelage of professors Richard Borge, one of the nations top illustrators and Jon Jicha, a well respected graphic designer. It was there I began to explore, research and grow every aspect of my talents.

During that time I attended many workshops by visiting artists. Most notable were that of Thomas Ockerse, Program Head, Graduate Studies Graphic Design at Rhode Island School of Design and David Carson, said to be one of the world's most distinctive typographic voices--much imitated, but never matched," Ellen Lupton of ID MAG.

After 16 years as a advertising and marketing professional, I still find myself exploring new opportunities in all mediums.
