Svetlana is a russian fine art photographer currently living and working in Oslo, Norway. She had been working as a advertisement movie director and a journalist for 6 years before she came to photography.

Svetlana has not been working as a photographer for a long time and has already won awards and nominations for her work: a prize as a newcomer of the year from the Norwegian Assosiation of the Advertisiment Photographers, the first prize in the fine art category in the Microsoft Future Professional Photographer competition.

Magic realism with less magic and more realism is probably what Svetlana's style is about. Artist's work combines impressions of the world, where the most usual things seem exciting with strange, weird situations and connections in everyday life.

Strong emotions, feelings of despair, waiting and uncertainty expressed in a subtle restrained way together with originality and creativity is what characterises Svetlana's work.
