Working almost exclusively with colored pencils over the last 20 years, I have learned to "paint" with them. They are my preferred medium for illustration, although I also work in oil and ink. My illustration career includes covers for books and magazines, as well as editorial articles. My style is richly colorful and perfect for those times when there is need for slightly altered reality, myth, or fantasy created in a figurative, realistic manner. I specialize in magical images of women as goddesses, fairies, mermaids, and mythic personas - all set to the backdrop of the moon. Children and animals are also a favorite subject.
