Employed actively as a photographer / photo joournalist / artist for more than ten years. Ron began in sports photography, and grew from there. In addition to having a diploma in photography from the Newport School of Photography, has a background in figure studies,oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolour, and photoshop. Ron increases his knowledge each year by studying with veteran photographers like Paul Elledge, Bob Sacha, Eugne Richards, and Chris Ranier.
Ron composes in large, medium, and 35mm formats. Ron creates in both black & white and colour films, though prefers black and white for portraiture. Ron owns portable lighting systems that travel proficiently for location photography, plus water housings to cover water photography.
Many companies like Nissan, Bank One, Keebler, Gotcha, Billabong, Body Glove, TBWA/CHIAT/DAY, Cablewave, The Girl Scouts, the law firm of Morrison and Foerster, and marketing firms have all used Ron's images. He works with several publications including Surfer, Self, ESPN, Shape, Sports Illustrated for Women, Women's World, Men's Journal, Orange County Register and Long Beach Press Telegram.
Ron's creativity has the sensitivity to perceive individauls distinct personality on film.
