Work Philosophy

For many years I’ve been specialized in detailed photorealism along with airbrush
mix-techniques. Airbrush techniques was and still is very important to me. For over
100 years is was the tool artists used for painting although it doesn’t get the reputation
it deserves. With it, it is possible to paint the finest colour shades. Only with this and in
combination with various painting techniques, I was and I am able to achieve such an
effect.

In 2003 I headed for the Abstraction, while I was working on motives solely with a
putty knife. These motives enjoy great popularity and are well received by the viewer.
I’m sure to rarefy this technique in the future.

At present I develop a new form of photorealism while I combine Photography and Painting,
in a way of “Trompe L’oeil” painting. They can be acquired by the Internet Gallery of the
metropolitan region of Nuremberg “Artnori” www.artnori.de.
Nowadays I spent most of my time in front of the computer, being a painter this doesn’t always make me happy, knowing that commercial Illustration require great proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and Painter. For drafts and layouts I use Sketchbook. Lucky for me though, one has to know how to paint despite all of the technical aid. I cannot picture myself anymore to craft my customer’s illustrations analog. In 1998 I decided to go the digital way, which helps me today to master a tight schedule. Adherence to schedules is my highest requirement.
