I was born and raised in Southern California. After that, I grew up. Now I'm growing older. Such is life. I was given the "photography bug" by my father who also taught me to be a Nikon snob. Thanks Dad. Although I generally shoot for fun and enjoyment, getting paid to do it is always a bonus. I have sold several of my photos and have been commissioned to shoot for others. My photos have been used by the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce San Diego/Tijuana on their web site and newsletters and by Gateway Computers in advertising. Most recently, my photos were used on the cover and in an article in Digital Graphics Magazine, a trade magazine for the digital printing industry. In addition, several of my photos currently appear in friend's home galleries across the state. One type of "assignment" I really enjoy is photographing music groups preforming. I have had my photos used on music CD's and web sites for promotional purposes. But I'm not picky. I'll shoot just about anything. To paraphrase a character from a favorite book of mine, "I'll shoot for any man who seeks out my work." In addition, I have many photos for sale at www.imagingweb.com. You'll need to search for my collection once you're there. I'm listed under Nicholas LaBran. Enjoy!
