Mike Tobin was born and raised in central Newfoundland and Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. This setting has left Mike with a lifelong appreciation of nature's unique splendor.

Mike's first love is "birds of prey" and with over 35 years experience his collection has become quite extensive. Mike's goal in Nature Photography is to capture the essence of his subjects on film to share with others. "I see beauty within the most common in nature, as well as the most exotic," explains Mike. "Through my camera I provide far more than nature photographs, I genuinely feel my images are both fine art and true praise."

Mike has received numerous awards in competitions over the years, and believes his continual excursions to places such as the Arctic and Japan, plus educational seminars in addition to his natural gift allow him to accomplish his triumphs.
