Max Schulz

born in 1956 he made clear to become a photographer by the age
of 14. From that time on he followed his own ideas of pictures,
studied photography and art at the famous „Folkwang University“
in Essen, where he finished his examena with Summa Cum Laude.
Freelance Artist, in his mind and heart, undependent and openhearted he worked on several projects, exhibitions and publications.

At the german photographers scene he is polarisating , but accepted as
brillant trend setter and theoretical mastermind.

Even it often looks like, Schulz’ pictures are not
digital worked out. In his studio he constructs special steelpodests,
glassbottoms and underlighttables, where he is posing his models
in a very sophisticated light ensamble.


The very high quality of this big format prints is a result of the
special Cibachrome printing and developing process.
Very sharp in structure and details, brillant colors and, extremly
important, a standard accepted by international
museums and collecters.

The emotional attac his pictures at the viewer is depending
on intuitival acting behind his camera and intellectual planning
a long time before shooting. Thats causing, why his photographies
are bounding the viewer in very different levels for a long
time, discovering something new, in the picture and themselves.
