European fashion, beauty and lifestyle advertising photographer Kurt Salhofer was born in 1973 in Austria, where he continues to reside. Kurt studied Biology from 1992 to 1997 in Vienna, and began his photography education in 1997, completing his schooling in 2000. Afterwards he spent a few years assisting some of the top fashion & lifestyle photographers in Vienna, working on editorial / magazine cover assignments for all the major magazines in Austria.



Striking out on his own, Kurt began to work as a freelancer, working on projects emphasizing people shots, lifestyle images and fashion photography, including entertainment industry work. Specializations include magazine features, advertising campaigns / print ads, book jackets / cd covers, tour posters / fashion posters, plus beauty editorials.



Kurt’s favourite freelance assignments are fashion shoots, and he is willing to travel in Europe and worldwide for fashion / beauty / lifestyle assignments. A pro in the studio or on location, he enjoys all types of shoots but especially enjoys work for the fashion industry, where he can really bring in his creative ideas and knowledge to produce elegant, luminous images.
