Biography
Douglas Flandro designs museum exhibits and is a contributing author for exhibit design in the reference book, Interior Graphic Standards. Projects include Exhibits for the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, Heifer International's Education Center exhibits, George Washington's Mount Vernon Education Center, various exhibits for Harvard's Museum of Natural History, the Louisiana State History Museum in Baton Rouge, the U-505 submarine exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, and the ruby slippers exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. He earned a Master's degree in Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. Previous theater and film design experience includes set design for the New York theatrical premiere of Ordet with the Handcart ensemble, wardrobe for Con Air, and Art Direction for several independent films. He lives in Cambridge, MA.
