I've been a freelance illustrator since 1991, working primarily in publishing and editorial.
Originally working in traditional mediums, I began importing my hand-drawn images into a digital environment to colour them in and I haven't looked back since. I love the freedom the computer gives me to change colours and make alterations very easily. I also have more control over the end product, in terms of colour and reproduction.
The primary benefit of my digital illustrations is that they are scalable to any size without losing quality but they don't look "digital" in the sense that they begin life as hand-drawn images. I find that vector illustrations created entirely in the computer can sometimes look too clinical and generic.
If you're after some cute, quirky, whimsical illustrations with the personality of hand-drawn illustrations, but the convenience of digital, send me an email.
