Courtney McKenna graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in June of 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. In October of 2007 Courtney opened the Courtney McKenna Gallery in Doylestown, PA which currently exhibits her own work. She has participated in art festivals throughout the Philadelphia area and her work and gallery has been featured in four publications. Courtney paints in a highly detailed and realistic manner. She draws inspiration from nature and the people and animals in her life. She is fascinated by the typically overlooked details in the subject matter she paints. Courtney specializes in children and animal portraits as well as scientific and archaeological illustration.
