Beth was born in December of 1983 to Gene and Kathy Fuscsick of Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. While she had to share her limelight with two brothers and one sister, Beth soon learned how to attract all attention towards herself, playing up to the numerous photography enthusiasts in the family, becoming front and center in most photos. And even though Beth had been born with hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain), she realized that all that was needed in life was a smile.
Beth smiled for 15 years on stage with dance teams at the McHenry Dance Centre, earning her consistent gold medals in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip-hop, as well as Miss Photogenic awards. Here, Beth also learned the value of camaraderie, style, grace, and competition. In high school, Beth switched her talents from one side of the camera to the other. She found that going after the picture was far more interesting than being the subject of one. She was hooked after Photography 101!
Beth continued with her photography studies at the prestigious Antonelli Institute in the Philadelphia area. While a young student there, some of Beth’s photos were published in RealPhilly magazine, and she was further honored by earning the cover of the magazine’s Mother’s Day issue.
Beth plans to continue in the field of photography and has already meshed her two loves of dance and photography by creating posters for the Horizon Dance Alliance Ballet Company’s rendition of “Giselle”.
