Barrie lives in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. He has been a professional photographer for twenty years and is widely regarded as the leading photographer of nature books for children with over eighty books published, most of which have been translated into several different languages. His work has appeared in numerous publications worldwide and he travels extensively to add to his ever growing photo library and nature archive.
He is always seeking the perfect shot, a never ending search. Hours, days, weeks and even months of patience are often needed for some of his pictures. Waiting for the best light or right moment is a time consuming business. The rewards are self evident when the films are returned.
