For the past twenty years, Chicago-based Churchill & Klehr Photography has been shooting for a wide variety of corporate, editorial and travel clients. In an era where specialization is encouraged--and often demanded--principal photographer Alan Klehr has defied the herd mentality and insists on being a generalist. “I shoot everything but fashion,” he declares. Churchill & Klehr has gained a well-deserved reputation for capturing dynamic images from situations that defy creative solutions. Earlier this year, Alan was sent around the world by SamataMason Design to shoot the Tupperware Annual Report--this required shooting in eight locations in the US, Mexico, Europe, India, and Asia in18 days, without art direction or an assistant. Travel photography is what Alan enjoys most, and his work has appeared in Travel Holiday, Islands, Travel & Leisure, Hemispheres, Condé Nast Traveler, American Way, and British Heritage. Recent travel stories he’s been sent to illustrate are Dublin Pubs, Victorian Hotels of Canada, Christmas Ornaments of Bavaria, and the Grand Hotels of Switzerland. Cunard and Holland America Cruise Line are two regular clients, and Alan has sailed the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Hawaiian Islands documenting the world of cruising.
