Natiq Abdul Jalil is a 29 year old artist/spoken word poet living in Denver. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama and lived there through his pre-teens. His love of art began in early childhood with his love of animation and comic books. Later in life he became strongly influenced by anime, fantasy and urban art. He is a self-taught artist and learns though experience as opposed to formal teaching. Much of his work is of the human form with very special attention to the eyes and the lips. He is currently focusing mainly on acrylics, but is highly skilled with other media including oils, watercolor, charcoal, pastels, pen and ink, pencils and digital art. His work appears in several local venues and homes in the Denver Metro area. He is currently hoping to find more commision work, especially for restaurants, hotels, poetry clubs and private collections. His work is certainly available for licensing, CD covers, book covers, advertising, greeting cards, galleries, etc. He loves the work and is open to any and all new experiences that come his way.
