I am a recent graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Photography and a concentration in Advertising photography. I have over ten years experience in the photographic field, including more than three years of photo assisting experience. I worked in a privately owned professional portrait studio, functioning as a Photographer’s Assistant, Studio Manager, Administrative Assistant, Client Liaison, and promotional designer. I have spent the last two years both interning and assisting in a commercial advertising Food and Beverage Photography studio, during which time I have gained invaluable experience and training in the Commercial Photographic industry. This included working very closely with the photographers, assisting on both in-studio and on-location photo shoots, communicating directly with clients and art directors, planning and preparing all aspects of productions shoots, creating and distributing promotional materials, digital retouching and printing, preparing images for stock submission, and calibration and maintenance of digital equipment. In addition, while in attendance at Brooks Institute, I held a position as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Food and Tabletop Photography classes.

I have extensive training in a wide of variety of studio equipment, including lighting equipment of all types: strobes - both monoblocks and powerpacks, hotlights and continuous lighting sources. I am also adept at lighting subjects of any nature, with my primary focus on tabletop photography, especially food and products. I have very strong computer skills, especially on the Mac OSX platform, and extensive training and experience with digital retouching, compositing, and manipulation. In addition, I am also very familiar and comfortable with digital photographic equipment of all types and formats, as well as digital capturing software, and calibration and profiling tools for computer monitors and digital printing media. I feel that my experience, the education I have received at Brooks Institute, and my passion for photography all make me uniquely qualified to be a great asset to a variety of positions within the photographic industry.
