I am an illustrator / painter who specializes in multicultural children’s book imagery. Working in oils and acrylics, my style is a combination of painterly realism with some stylization. I'm influenced by charming and whimsical childhood moments in unique settings, often featuring ethnic characters; many of them African. I received a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and am currently based in Jersey City, NJ.

My pieces are created with the aim of appealing to both the young child and the child within the adult, with imagery applicable to such fields as children's book projects, posters, greeting cards, editorials, music packaging, fine art, prints, licensing, and much much more!
