After completion of my studies I worked for 20 years in London, England, initially with various graphic design agencies and later as a freelance designer. Some major projects included a quarterly magazine for 10 years called Canada Today magazine; and co-ordinating production of bus timetables for each of 50 different cities in England, each one incorporating a plan for the bus station and a route diagram of destinations with direct service from that city. Other clients included London Transport, The Post Office, HMSO, & The Royal Academy.
Since returning to Canada in 1993, while still doing freelance design, I have returned to painting and illustration. My primary medium is pen and ink. Other media include pencil, water soluable coloured pencil, oil pastel, acrylics, and some water colour. Subject matter is primarialy landscapes, in particular those with an archetectural element. My printmaking includes woodcuts, linocuts, silk screen, intaglio and aquatint.
