I received formal training at Pratt Institute, graduating with a B.F.A.
in Drawing and Painting. Pursuing an interest in the theatre, I worked for eight years doing scenic design and set painting, often creating large paintings for backdrops.

Eventually, I began creating art for the printed page, in business since 1990, my company A Bock Design, LLC, provides its clients with art direction, graphic design, publication design, in addition to illustration.
