Suzanne Porter is a freelance photographer based between Surrey (just outside London), UK and Marrakech in Morocco, North Africa. Suzanne specialises in social documentary and travel photography and has worked for many international NGO’s and charities and travel magazines and guidebooks.
Her clients have included CARE International, Christian Aid, Help the Aged, Comic Relief, Sunday Times Travel, Travel Africa, Wanderlust, Rough Guides and Time Out. Suzanne’s photographs have been used in most national newspapers including the front page of the Independent, for book covers, advertising and awareness raising campaigns, greeting cards and annual reviews.
Suzanne exhibits regularly and her work with the nomadic Tuareg tribe in the Sahara desert was exhibited at the British Museum in London. In 2003 she received a Commonwealth Broadcasting Award.
Suzanne works digitally but can also work with colour transparency and black and white film. Her work captures the finer social and cultural nuances of geographical places and the cultural communities living within them, making it ideal for international aid campaign and branding projects. Her creative vision is exploratory and unique and has often been used for travel guide book projects as a result.
She is available for commissions with international aid organisations or travel assignments. Suzanne also sells images from her huge stock of library images.
